If someone only told me this 37 years ago!

I have had asthma since I was 10, I have taken allergy shots weekly for years as a kid.  I have consumed 100’s of inhalers, steroid inhalers are well over $100/each monthly plus a basic rescue inhaler once a month.

A funny thing happened along the way in ketosis, I stopped taking needing my “rescue inhaler” for instant relief, so i decided I would stop using the steroid inhaler I had been taking.  Woulndn’t you know my symptoms didn’t get worse, in fact i now need my inhaler once every two or 3 weeks.

If only someone had told me 37 years ago to modify my diet and it may clear up my asthma.  In fact if they had told me this I probably would  never have weighed in at 265 pounds nor would i have been diagnosed as diabetic and would have saved my body a lot of wear and tear.

Are you thinking about getting into nutritional ketosis? Stop planning and just do it, throw out the carbage in your house and get on with it, meat, cheese, eggs, bacon, butter, veggies like spinach.  Don’t wait another second this may save your life.

Snack Food on the go

Sometimes we’re too busy to make and prepare all our food or just having one of those I need a snack moments, my go to snacks are:

Meat:Peperretes and cold cuts from the grocery store

Cheese, so many kinds and varieties to choose from, fresh cheese curd, cheddar, gouda, brie….find a specialty cheese shop and do som sampling to find new tastes and flavors you like

Nuts:Macadamias, Pecans, Almonds, Tamari Almonds and Walnuts are my favorites

Chocolate: I really like Lily’s crunchy as well as plain, almond and coconut, they are sweetened with Stevia

Quest bars, must admit I have trouble sticking to eating half of one, but the flavors are amazing and the texture is dense and chewy, even if most of them taste a little sweet.

Quest Chips are also available, but to me they have a bad aftertaste and were like eating sawdust, but I reccomend trying them out yourself.

For crunch I love Moon Cheese, this is far and above any other all cheese cracker I have tasted.

7 Months – 73 pounds…

Yes, that’s right, over 70 pounds gone in 7 months, but the terrific thing is this is just a side effect becoming healthy again.

I haven’t been under 200 pounds in over 20 years, my kids, my adult kids, have never seen me at this weight.

I have dispensed with my high cholesterol medication, my high blood pressure medication, I never filled my prescription for diabetes medication, and I no longer need asthma meds, more about that in another post.
